How We Jump Start Your Car
- Place both vehicles in Park or Neutral – We will take the necessary steps to accommodate your vehicle placement. We will park our car accordingly and shut the ignition off in both cars. As well, we ensure that both parking brakes are engaged.
- Use jumper cables to connect battery terminals – We provide the jumper cables necessary to jump start your car battery.
- Connect positive terminals – We will attach one of the red clips to the positive terminal of your battery, while attaching the other red clip to the positive terminal of our driver’s car.
- Connect negative terminals – We attach one black clip to the negative terminal of the driver’s car and attach the other black clip to an unpainted metal surface on your car that is not near the battery. The order of the connection is very important for the next step to work!
- Start the vehicle – We will turn on our working vehicle and let the engine run for a few minutes. Then we will start your vehicle. It can take up to 5 minutes for your battery to being working again.
Important! When your car starts, don’t shut off the engine immediately! It’s important to drive your car for at least 15 minutes in order for your battery to recharge.
